| | | I personally love burmese pythons. I've had a thing for them for years... but for keeping them, I'm smart enough to realise that even if I *could* legally get one, I wouldn't. They get too large, and with young children around who will get big enough to eventually learn how to get into areas they aren't allowed... I wouldn't even consider one. A small python or even gecko/dragon etc are far more suitable, and just as gorgeous

Unfortunately these questions always get the same reaction on here "why would you want one of those exotics when our snakes are the best blah blah blah" I guess having lived overseas and kept 'exotics' I can appreciate all snakes regardless of origin.

Im so sick of reading these comments in threads about exotics! Get over it!!! Different strokes, for different folks - people like different things. Olives are beautiful, but they're NOTHING like boas! |

I don't understand why this person, who is merely seeking out information, should be ridiculed by anyone. |

I suppose this was addressed at the time of release (but I wasn't a member then) No charges laid and nothing said on the news about the fact that it is illegal. There are apparently corn snakes in the some Hunter Valley collections, I don't agree with it at all but everyopne is entitled to their own interests. |
