very common asked question, females give birth, males don't, is the only 100% way, though head to body size on older lizards can be of some indication if experienced.

if you have a good herp vet near you they can
Xray them and give you a very accurate result,
other than that the males have slightly wider
heads than the females

Glenn Shea said it can't be done.

You probably can. I think most Egernia's can be sexed this way, adults at least, but i stand to be corrected. There was an obvious difference in head size between my (several adult) male and female E. whitii when i kept them.

l think you can probe lizards...as you do with snakes.
Male blueys l think have a longer tail and a broader head.
Heres a little witchcraft....attach a reasonable size needle to a string of cotton about 10cms
in length...holding the end of cotton dangle/hold steady.. the needle over its head or towards its vent
area if it spins around in a circle its a girl...if it swings from side to side its a boy...something to
do with magnetic energy...try it on critters that you already know the sex of...c what happens!!
It doesnt work for everyone from what l gather....and it can get mixed readings on gravid/pregnant
females.
We did a few experiments with other peoples critters (needle sexing) it can be quite amazingly accurate!!

Hemipenal bulges can be seen on mature adult cunninghams.
