How to tell????

How do you tell a blonde Mac????
I obviously know that a blonde mac is lighter........but how much lighter to go from ordinary mac to blonde.

Pics would be great esp adults classed as blonde macs.. thanks.

Most of the time it's pretty obvious! Usually they do things quite differently to other "normal" Macs eg: Eating their prey the wrong way round, rolling their eyes alot, not knowing what skin to get rid of etc etc. Personally I'd be going with the brunette variety

(sorry, couldn't be helped )

Look, I'm really sorry to do that to your thread (not ) but I think it's a term that has simply been applied to the ones that have been produced with a lighter colouration. I don't think there is any locality that has produced a "blonde" Mac p****, but rather it's breeders toying with their stocks to produce these lighter coloured animals.

That said, I could be way off

I would like to see some pics of adults that are classed as 'blonde macs'...........now I am being sensible here as I am thinking of purchasing some about two years old and I need to see what I am looking at. or to look at what I am seeing hehe whichever comes first!!

Here is a link to some that are in the 'For Sale' forums...

Blonde Macs for Sale

They just appear to be a much lighter colouration...

It's just a matter of opinion. I've seen heaps of so called "blonde macs" that look no different from any other ordinary mac. Even the most blonde of specimens look very similiar to the far north QLD mac's you can find on the side of the road. I personally think their very over rated.

It depends who you listen to
There is a breeder who says that he named them blonde macs and the only blondes are his bloodline - regardless of colour.
There are people who believe that only macs from a certain locality are blondes - essentially regardless of colour.
And there are people who belive that if it looks like a blonde (pale background colour) then it's a blonde.
Then there's the people who call anything a blonde so they can charge more for it.
