Id love to hear your theory.

I heard if you inject bleach into an egg, you get an albino.

Maybe if you leave a snake out in the sun to long it will fade, thus giving you a hypo....

Sure is, it's called 'line' or 'selective' breeding.

thats aweful!
nah my theory well starts with time... many years and the careful selection of pairs
my theory is if you want light you pair light
if you want striped you pair striped
etc etc....

Jaz, I honestly think your theory is sound... Do a search on Mendel's Genetics on google...

lol just to confuse everyone at what point would your mark a line calling it a hypo.?
like you see hypo coastals then u see HYPO coastals. is it up to a breeder to decide wether his offspring are hypo or not hypo and people can either agree with him/her or miss out? be interesting to see responses to this.
just so im not off topic i belive true hypos are just wild coincidences like the first albinos in captivity, but captive bred ones are breed for the least pigment for a few generations.

Melanism is genetic... it can get rather complicated to explain. Try the wikipedia site for a basic explaination... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanis...tion_in_Action

What exactly is this thread about?? i still havent caught on.

Are you looking for a theory to produce hypos etc or trait lines, or are you really trying to talk about religion
