Is kind of a bummer when you read that on an ad for an animal you'd love to get your hands on.

Some people don't feel comfortable freighting their animals, which is their decision to make.

But I do know what you mean, there has been some amazing animals that I would of bought isntantly however the seller isn't willing to freight.

The other thing is too, who wants to pack a couple of relatively cheap herps up, and deal with hell on earth at the airport (Sydney, I'm refering to!) and the potential pain in the backside with the freighters? Not me! A big enough sale for a few hundred bucks maybe, but just maybe. Then theres the risk of them not being handled/stored safely and them arriving dead. Yeah, doesn't happen often, but I know if I was sending it would probably happen to me!

Personally I'm glad a lot don't freight. I'd be completely and utterly broke and have to move out so I had the space.

I don't freight for a few reasons ......
I live a 2.5 hour round trip from airport , i have young kids , and its a pain in the neck .....not to mention the cost of fuel these days , it would cost me $20 in petrol , then the box, then the import /export if needed ,by the time you add all that into it , and the half a day i have just wasted , its just not worth the trouble .....................
Only time i will freight is on the east coast using Hobbo as he will pick it up from my door

I also like to meet the people buying my stuff , that way i know my stuff goes to a decent home ...

But now with Hobbo's business all thes problems are gone. Especially if you live in wollongong where he comes from. Although the central highlands of Qld may be an issue unless you are willing to drive to Brissie to meet him. Scotty - you just need to get out there more and PM every person that says "no freight".

Freighting is a right pain and very expensive. For starters the airport is 45 km away and in Sydney traffic that can be 1.5 hrs each way. Then there's the $18 worth of tolls that I have to pay. So when someone wants to buy a $50 bearded dragon is isnt worth my time and effort. I will only freight for orders of $300 or more. Even then I try and group the orders so that I only visit the airport once per week.

i wont freight, coz i dont drive, so can't get to the airport.

hobbo does his door to door delivery....
try organising that...

while i wouldnt normally freight. if somene organised that, so i still had someone physically come to my door, then i'd have no issue
