I need help BLUEYS

AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

How can I stop Blue Tongues pooing on me whenever I pick them up....... The smell nearly made me vomit it was soooooooooo bad !!

Somehow I think I excited the little bugger.... god only knows how

Is that a way I can tell a male from female as per my previous thread.... The bigger out of the 2, whenever I pick it up something pops out of the bum area

Then he wees then poos

Maybe I am just going crazy.... whoops too late for that

Dosent sound too good Matt, they shouldnt do that. What are you feeding them and how much?
keep up the fresh water but cease feeding for a few days and see how they go. You dont describe the mess, is it runny aswell? sounds like diahreah. keep the enclosure spotless too and consider having the vetdo a feceal examination in case of parasites etc.
back to diet first tho, too many snails will go thru them, for instance. how big are they? smaller blueies, at least mine seem to prefer a larger part of the diet be insects, I only offer salad variety every few days.

Maybe scrap the dog food. They like beardy pellets soaked in friut juice or water too. How do you pick em up? are they not used to handling?

RE: I need help BLUEYS

They used to be in a pit I pick them up like I pick up my beardies.... one hand behind the forarms while supporting the back end.... thats why the poop is so yuk cause it went all over me lol

They are getting better.... Only had them 1 week and they have finally stopped hissing at me... I think I have worked out when its going to go to the toilet though cause she starts flicking her tail about... Then she pees then the poop comes out

RE: I need help BLUEYS

try and do as Sdaj said and get a pic of its cloaca as its about to void. Sounds mighty strange to me. They crap everywher when you put them in a new container but this is odd. Still, Ive seen it with shinglebacks.

RE: I need help BLUEYS

If its showing a lot of pink(sorry about the term) when it poos it could be a slight prolapse problem. I have a shingleback which has to be picked up very carefully because of this.
I always pick up blueys etc by placing my hands under the front and back legs or by grasping around the back legs only.
