I think I stuffed the eggs

Hey Guys,

I think I have stuffed the beardy eggs !!!!!

I used a polystyrene box 1/4 filled with water and place a 150 watt aquarium
heater in it... Set the aquarium heater to 30 degrees celcius... placed a container in the water so that the water just touches the bottom of the
container with eggs in it.

For the eggs, I used a glad container bought from woolworths half filled
with vermiculite and water to a 50 / 50 ratio....

The temp inside the egg box is 29 degrees.....

What have I done wrong ??

The eggs look like they have mould growing on them and some turning yellow..... although they have all filled out and look full now

Could it possibly be they are infertile ?

RE: I think I stuffed the eggs

A very good chance they are infertile. Before they go too rotten open one up and look inside( you may have to hold your nose). If it's just a thick yellow liquid inside then the eggs are infertile. If there are any blood spots then that means the eggs are fertile.
If they are infertile then obviously nothing you can do but if they are fertile then you'll have to look at what you are doing as beardie eggs are tough as nails.

too much moisture maybe the problem dude??? I have the 50:50 ratio but its in a sealed container with a heat cord and styro box with thermostat, but no other moisture mediums and mine are fine, get yourself a microclimate thermostat and heat cord and use that if you can afford it dude.

I would say that you had it too damp( or that the eggs werent any good to begin with). Its always better to have your water/verm a little on the dry side. For dragon eggs i have 200g vermiculite/190ml water. Often the eggs will swell up when its too damp. I remember the photos you posted when she laid and even then they didnt look too good to me.
