When ya measure the temp inside the incubator do u place the probe in the isolated container the eggs are in or the air in the esky itself?

the eggs are in the container with a thermometer constantly in the enclosed egg container. I don't have the money for a probe thermostat just yet (10th Nov I will - I hate monthly pay) so at this stage the only way I can do it is with the fish tank heater..... has its own thermostat.
