Im making a Beardie Enclosure (pics)

Ok so i have decided to give this building thing ago. I'm trying to make an Enclosure for my beardies. I started off with a tv unit i picked up for $15, i gutted it and built the rest myself. I'll post more pics as i go along so tell my what ya think. oh yeah and i made the light cage all by myself too, im really happy how its all turning out!

Foam filler in a can, then painted then sealed it with watered down pva and bondcrete

Cool. Did you paint the PVA on first, let it dry and then use the bond crete or did you mix the watered down PVA and bondcrete together??

Mixed them together till it made a paste. I did two coats with this mix.

Looks great! just a couple of suggestions (I know your not finished yet, And im always first to comment on the saying "never show a fool an unfinished job" ) You will need a log or rock on the ledge so they can get closer to the heat source. also play around with the bulb wattage as they will need a good heat gradient in the enclosure. other than that im sure your beardies will LOVE it!! not trying to be a kill joy,..but how are they gonna get up to the heat/UVB light?

they have to be able to get within a certain distance of the UVB light (6-8 inches for a tube, or 12 inches from an MVB) to get any effects from it....and falling 2-3 foot if they slip can result in injuries.

that being said,...you could put shelf across the middle and have like a double cage,...

it does look nice though,...sorry if that sounds critical.

thanks for all the advice ppl. I have a Tree look drift wood going in there with lots of branches at different heights so that they can reach the uv and heat spots and cos i know they like to be up higher. Only half finished so i still got heaps to do, installing the uv light is next on my list
