I was told that they get stressed out in big enclosures

Have you got a picture of your enclosure?
I would guess that 6 is enough but depends on how safe your animal feels...and not on numbers of hides.
ie. are the hides small enough that it touches all sides of it when it is inside?

|  | Subscriber | Join Date: Oct-06 Location: Sydney Gender:  | | | | I've got my baby Bredls (same size) in 900 x 450 x 600mm enclosures with 3 appropriately-sized hides, branches and a vine (for 1 of them). The enclosure is in an area with little traffic. The male uses the hides, but the female just hangs out on her branches most of the time. They seem fine and are eating well. They get out and explore at night, plus have never struck at the glass, etc. I think it just depends on the animal and the situation.
