Is is summer yet?

Saw this guy at the Paringa paddock ( Near the SA, Vic, NSW borders) on about the ninth of June. The day was only about 23C but the night was warm, about 15c. As soon as he realized he had been seen hes displayed, and continued displaying while I picked him up and got the camera. He was still displaying when I left him.

Dare I ask, are there natural barbata/vitticep intergrades?
Mine are quite nice yellow face sides legs, apparently barbatas should be murky grey. nobody told mine. lol

there like that all the time too.

Close head shot

Brave question. Both species occur along the SA part of the Murray and along the Darling river and I have photographed animals that appear to be hybrids. Really need DNA samples to be sure
