Keep us updated of when you take him to the vet.

Its not unusual for a snake to hide after eating as they are not as agile and feel more vunerable and they also like to conserve energy for digestion.
My hatchling just shed and her eyes were barely cloudy and her skin was wrinkly/lose before hand.
I personaly dont think you need to worry Its just coming up for shed.
Good luck.
Cheers.

I was getting a bit concerned about mine after reading this as i havnt seen him for 4 days or so, so i broke my own rule and disturbed him in his hiding rock. He has cloudy eyes and dull skin, what a relief, my little boy is going to have his first shed. Yay!

My snakes often look like they are wrinkley and cloudy/pail colour before a shed

Here is an easy way to tell: pinch the skin of the snake between you fingers and let go. If it rolls back into place, then it's fine. If it stays in the same pinched, or "tented" position, then it's dehydrated.

How old and how long have you people especially notechisttiger been keeping snakes for to be giving all this advice?

First of all it's perfectly normal for your snake to hide after a meal as they're most likely on the warm spot digesting their meal and at these times should be left alone and not handled and the same goes for when they have milky eyes and wrinkley skin as they are coming up for a shed no doubt about it,sorry but i hate it when this misinformation is given and people overreact and listening and taking advice and acting on it from these people could end up in disaster for your snake.Your snake is perfectly fine, just leave it alone and let it be a snake, sorry if i sound rude but i get sick of reading this stuff time after time if you want something to play with everyday and handle get a bloody dog or a cat,if you want a snake let it be a snake and observe what it does naturally which usually isn' much other than during the night or when feeding...just my opinion that's all take the other advice and rush off to the vet if you like cause your snake has cloudy eyes and wrinkly skin...sheeesh!!!Now where's that billy i need one badly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not trying to have a go, but if misinformation is the only information given, how is a 'newb' meant to know? with great power (long time keepers) comes great responsibility. instead of ignoring newb posts and then having a go when there is misinformation given, why don't experienced keepers step in and give the right info?

Was there anything wrong or misinformed with the information i gave in the beginning and the end???The snake is perfectly fine and doing exactly what a snake does,i mean no harm but sometimes newbies should think a little before rushing into giving advice which just might to the detriment of the one asking for advice or could possibly cost the person a wasted trip to the vet for no good reason???

To begin with I didn't rush off to vet, I watched it and waited (for it to be what it is a snake, I'm not totally stupid) and second if you are sick of reading this stuff then DON'T read it. I know snakes like to hide after a feed. Advice is to be listened to, and if you want to act on it then that is up to you. Now go and have that billy you sound like you need it.

My post was not directed at you regarding the advice but the handling bit was as it came across as though you were regularly handling your snake throughout this time,my post was in the best interest of your snake,if i upset you in the progress so be it as long as the snake is fine is my main concern.Don't take the advice from the first person who offers it ,i'm quite sure you aren't stupid but sometimes people new to all this tend to over react which is fine to be anxious as it shows enthusiasm but think like a snake and watch them and you will know what is right and what is not right after a while and as i said if it's something you're unsure of i'm sure you know to listen and evaluate the advice given,i only read the first page and a post or 2 into the second page which made me write what i did,i'm not usually like that and just ignore such posts as you suggested but i was thinking of the well being of your snake first and foremost nothing else and when people tell someone to rush off to the vet because a snake is doing what a snake does naturally well i'm sure you know what advice to take then and sorry i won't respond to posts like these again and as suggested here a while back maybe there should be a system setup where newbies can't give advice for a certain amount of time until they have the correct knowledge to give appropriate advice!!!Good luck for your snake...
