i say they were, the photo doesn't show the full length of the tail, but judging at the length i say the cross is about where the vent should be.

Did you pick up the tails and have a looks like Simon suggested on Friday??
Copulation (I think that is the term you have been searching for ;-) ) does not always lead to ovulation and eggs ... but it is a necessary pre condition and I suspect you are in luck.
