It doesn't matter who you talk to, you will allways get diferent answers. Mine is kept with a basking temp from 28 - 32 a cool end of 22 - 25. Humidity is around 32%.

thanks guys. Craig, do you have to use 2 temp gauges to ensure the difference in temps?

yep, me again! How much is too much humidity? I cant seem to get it dowm past 58-60%. Thats with a small dinner sized bowl of water, the UV globe and the 2 40watt party globes. Any suggestions? Oh, and the temp is still only about 26-27 degrees in the basking end.

Is your water bowl at the cool end or warm?

You will need a bit more heat at the basking end (maybe up the globes to 60w), but don't worry about the humidity - not critical at all, just the ambient humidity is fine, and will fluctuate constantly anyway.

The water bowl is at the cool end. I think I will go for a stronger light, perhaps even a proper heat globe? Im worried about the humidity cos someone told me that it could lead to rot? is this right?
Thaks for the quick responses!

Place the thermomater under the basking lamp and the probe in the cooler end. This will give a hot and cool end reading.

Try using a smaller water bowl to try and get the humidity down.
