keeping active???

should i keep my 10 week old spotted python acticve in the winter or should i let her hibonate. when do they start going into hibonation and for how long do they stay?

i doubt she will realy hibernate being so young. just offer her food when she is due, she will decide if she wants to eat. none of my hatchys have ever refused a feed in winter

spotted pythons do-not hybernate, they get a bit less active in the wild during winter but do-not hybernate. In the wild in most areas they can feed year round.

They don't hibernate, hibernate is a sleep, if they are like beardies they go into Winter Shutdown, which means they are just slow and inactive during that time period.
