Talking

It is definatley easier to beg for forgiveness, than to ask for permission! I live by this motto - and encourage all to give it a go! The amount of things I've gotten simply because I gone and bought them and took them home is great! If I had have gone home and asked first to buy something than it's too easy for the missus to just so "NO"........... This has worked for me so many times ie Golf set, Generator, pythons, cars, tools, enclosures, etc, etc, etc The list goes on!!!!
At worst she won't talk to me for a day or two - ITS A WIN-WIN STIUATION! How can I loss????

Ah Life is good!

Lance

Ps. The encloser has turned out quite good (If do say so myself!!!). It's a pitty that is was such a battle for YOU during it's construction.

Ah my young apprentice - you have so much to learn! Women and the art of woodcraft cosmetics will oneday be your fortea (spelling???)

Bloody awesome work guys!!! U inspire me, ive just finished building a bobbie enclosure, but it's nothing compared to that... gives me an idea for next year's beginning of the year project

Bet ur pretty happy with that, thats the thing about designing ur own viv, u get all the specs u want. Just curious, i see u hav 2 heat emitters, wat sort of gradient do u get with them ?

I reckon in my python viv, which ill build next year, ill hav a similar setup, with a UV fluoro in the centre, a basking spot on the right and a moonlight lamp on the left, then hav a timed switch that controls the UV, and thermostat linked up to the basking spot and moonlight, as well as a timer which wld switch between the two, depending on night and day of course.

Lol, a bit complicated, but it wld make it ideal! Btw, love the rock background, did u buy it or make it ?

it's a universal rock background I got through canberra exotics, abit pricey (backing)but canberra exotics were by far the cheapest place to get them even with the postage, even then getting them locally. And good people to deal with too.

I really rate the rock backings especially if you don't have the time or skill.
I thing I found work ed well was to build the cage around the backing, then trying to fit it in a standard size cage.

Haven't really worked out the temp gradient as i'm moving from the NT to QLD in 2 weeks so I wasn't placing anyhing in there until mid DEC. Chrissy present for some of my snakes. I bet they can't wait. But with the cage run with your idea's the end product is so worth it.

And tickets to boot..

Nice work guys, looks the part. Have you got heat cord running through the metal for the plastic containers? Terrific idea...hope it doesn't get to hot.

no heat cord until i get the new microclimate 1st

But that is the plan to run it through the rear baton only to create the gradient.....
