It's virtually impossible for you to get a permit to remove them from the wild. Send a PM to geckodan, he has some.

There are a few keepers who keep and breed both hooded and common scaly foots so there is no need to collect any from the wild. All you need to do is track down one of these breeders.
Just last year there was a male hooded for sale on herp trader.

All the best,
-H

Just imagine if everyone who wanted to keep a hooded scaley foot went out and caught one, they would be extinct in no time. Now thats sarcasm

Because i can, I do it all the time, native animals too. Often to feed to my critters other times to keep in tanks, its far cheaper than buying them and you dont get hybrids or diseased animals at ridiculous prices. Oh but wait they are just fish, AHG's and invertebrates. I also use wild killed macropods as food too I guess i must just be evil or something?

With the almost complete lack of knowledge about things such as OPMV in captive collections i would be extremely reluctant to buy anything but legal wild caught snakes(not that im planning to buy any snakes in the near future)

But after all what would be the point of being able to legally catch a hooded scaley foot, i mean they are so common in captivity, its hard to walk down the street with out breeders trying to give them to you I have also heard WA no longer has any wild reptiles as they have all been caught and sold by evil ppl

Just beacuse i abide by the law doesnt mean i dont think its stupid.

end of rant good luck getting your scaly foot
