lighting

does this look like good heating and UV for my 2 eastern water dragons my heat is a 60watt red heat light and my UV is a compact max globe 5.0 i have them in a 3 foot tank does this look ok for lighting?

Use thermometers to check the heat level at hot and cold ends of tank.

I hope you have a thermostat so you can control the temperature.

m

the people who made da tank never put one in but the temp is about 30c at the hot end and 20c at the cold end

i remember when i had an eastern water dragon, he thought he was king **** lol i love the characters you get with reptiles.

umm you don't think that uv light is a bit irratable? it's soo bright i know i wouldn't wan't to be looking at that all day long.

you can get uv flourecent lights that give off a really natural looking light. i'd definately go for one of those over that globe. however there isn't anything wrong with what you have at the moment.

Compact UV globes are known to cause major eye problems for reptiles.I would be swapping it over to a flourescent UV tube right away.

do you think they have MBD their mouths started to look like that about 2 weeks after i got them and i have propper lighing and i put supplament on their food?
