Little visitor

There was this pretty little brown snake on our veranda last night.
I don't know what it was... It was this really light brown colour with cream on it, less than a meter long.
I didn't get pictures of it unfortunately.

I was really worried for it because my mum's fiance is unreasonable when it comes to wild snakes, it's frustrating!
When we lived out in the country he'd grab a shotty whenever he seen one and go try and shoot it or try kill it by other means.
When a carpet snake killed my cat he didn't try save the snake, he shot it. His excuse "would have tried to killed the other animals", what a load of crap!!! He could have gotten it relocated, but nope. So instead of one life lost there were two.

Anyway, the little brown snake disappeared by the time he got back up to the house from the shed. But it still didn't stop him from wanting to get his gun; if he shot it in the area we are now there would have been a lot of trouble.
But if it's a captive bred snake he's fine and really interested. Ughhhh

He makes me so angry sometimes.
