Live or frozen

Hi i was wondering what are the good points of feeding live and of feeding frozen?

frozen mice are easier to store and have less chance of parasites (i think) and it is generally safer allround.
However there are some snakes that will only take live prey

Frozen can be kept for quite a while and there is no risk of the snake being hurt

You should always try to feed thawed food, it's all round better for the snake. It's not always possible.

mine wont take thawed, but i dont like feeding them live either, as they can get scratched etc, so i kill them on a need to kill basis and feed them imediately.

A tip I learnt from members of this site.... Pierce the head of the thawed mouse so the smell of blood/brain is stronger. Might be worth a try.
