Where you're located depends on if you'll find more. Chances are you'll eventually come across another redbelly, but it could be next year or several years in time.

But they are not poisonous as far as I am aware... only venomous - in other words they have to inject venom intramuscular or no effect will occur... Please correct me if I am wrong.
To add to this I don't think ANY snake is poisonous, unlike toads. Venomous and poisonous are very different!

My parents dog got bitten by one about 3 ft long and it nearly killed her.
It cost them $1000 for a shot of antivenom and $500 in vet bills.
Turned out wild mice had been getting into the cat food, hence the snakes apperance.

Keep an eye on your dog, as a red belly bite can take up to 3 days to affect a dog. We lost one of ours this way.

Hi,
yes Red bellied black snakes are venomous. The dog may be in trouble if he was bitten. Keep him as quiet as possible and if you think he "may" have been bitten get him to the vet. (Quickly) They are recorded as having 8 to 40 young these are born live but inclosed in a clear membrane. They may leave this within minutes or stay in it for a couple of days. It is hard to see how old the snake would be but these guy's are approx 150mm when born. Snakes can carry diseases such as salmonella but I would not panic about this, just wash your hands well if you touch it. You can still become badly affected by the venom if you scratch yourself, with the fangs so make sure you dispose of properly. The venom is still dangerous once dried as well.
As for there being more around. That just depends on the area you live in. They are normally pretty solitary animals, unless breeding. Not to say you would not be able to find a few coiled up under the same sheet of iron.
Hope this helps.

With luck the dog did get bitten, at least that way you will know for sure if the snake is venomous.
