You just go out into the bush and find a suitable replacement, it's already on the books... (no I am only joking)... I would write it down as an escapee. ring ecoaccess as well and let them know asap, I would also ring any local reptile relocators in your area and let them know what you have lost, species apx size ect, You never know stranger things have happened. It is part of your licence conditions to keep your animals in a secure escape proof enclosure, however accidents happen and unless you lost a venomous specie, you should be fine...

LOL @ Caustic.

Give the EPA a call, there is no code on your record book to record an escapee. How long has your snake been at large?

yeah i was just reading through the things and escapee isn't a nominated description. but also you wouldn't want to write deceased as it would probably show up the next day. as there are so many people that lose snakes i thought someone would know what the protocol is for this.

How can you lose a snake so many times? I thought you'd learn after the 1st couple of times.

danny if you have lost your snake 10 times do you not think you should be looking at improving your cage security.
