Hi there all,
i have an adult male spotted (2 1/2yo) that has not eated since 3/1/07, thats 4 months now and is starting to lose weight. i have tryed him on both rats and mice, and have tryed everything but secnting and asist feeding. is there anything eles i should be trying? when i 1st got him he was about 1year old and didnt eat for the 1st 3months but since then he has been a great eater until now.
i am really starting to worry and its coming up to the cooling off season and i was hoping he would breed this year.

if it was me, i would be assist feeding now. 4 months is a long time without food. if u arnt experienced in doing it, get some help from someone who can.
but first try scenting...

it already is the cooling season sweetie.a few friends' antaresia are mating already .male needs to be lean and keen anyway

i am not comfortable with assit feeding, i dont want to hurt the snake and i dont know anyone who has done so. i wont be mating him and i am keeping them on heat at them moment.
