i was wondering whats the easyest way to measure your pet snake please? becuase my coastal moves around heaps and is very hard to mesure so is there an easy way thaks heaps

I use a piece of string or sometimes they'll be crawling along a straight wall etc and I measure them that way! Anyway you do it it's going to be hard to get an absolutely accurate result!

apparently the sheds stretch by up to 30 percent.
mines still small enough to measure him when he straightens out along a wall,...

their skin stretches considerably when they shed and does not give an acurate idea of length

This will make your snake appear rather a considerable amount larger than he/she already is!
Try using the string or a straight wall if you can!

There is also the serpwidgets program you can download for free, i found it was a bit of a buggar to work out, but now find it fairly easy to operate

Clear hose, can buy it at Bunnings. Not 100% accurate, but when theyre in the hose theyre alot straighter than if cruising.
