Melamine....

does anyone know how much sheets of black melamine are?
what dimensions do they come in?
and how thick is it.

---trying to work out much my super enclosure would cost to build....

trying to work out if its even worth going to bunnings

I don't think Bunnings stock it - they sell cheap crap anyway... It should only cost $80-90 for a 1200 x 2400 x 16mm sheet. Mister Ply & Wood stock it, but some places do have it a little cheaper so have a look around. I'd also advise you to have the edging done by the supplier, it's worth paying to have it done properly rather than messing around with the iron-on edging stuff.

most sheets are 2400 x 1200 x 16
you can get other sizes like 1800 x 900 .
a sheet of white is around $50 for 2400 x 1200 x 16
A sheet of black the same size is around $90-$100 in HMR ......

DO NOT go to bunnings.. try to find a local ply and wood place .

I can get a 2400x1200 sheet of Black HMR for $75, $80 if you include the proper edging.

For anyone in Sydney try www.lifetime.net.au , they were selling black (plus many other colours) 1200 x 2400 boards for $70-90 (can't remember now but i know they were cheaper than Mr Ply & Wood who charge $91) although they no longer appear on their web price list, so not sure if they still stock them? They only list the white boards now but i suspect they still sell them.

Only thing with Life Time is their prices for edging, i think it was $4p/m or something like that which can add quite a bit to the price. Probably best using the iron-on edging if you want to go through them.
