I have never seen them for sale in Melb, although I honestly have never looked for them either. Are they available and what is an average cost for these mice? or are they just lab mice?

You can get them on occasions DP, best to try and find someone with them and then offer to buy some. I have heard that males go for around $5 and females $10, but I may be wrong, it is just what I have heard.
