Mice breeders

Just asking a few questions as we want to breed some mice for food for the snakes but want to find the easiest way to cull that is also humane. We are just looking at doing this for our snakes and not to onsell or anything like that

Does anyone here drown the mice they breed?

Do you find this is the easiest way to cull and fairly humane way for the mice to die?

If you drown them do you dry the mice off before you freezer them?

Or do you gas them?

gasing is the nicest way but thats an extra cost for you mice only have tiny spins so easy to kill if hit over something

Drown them?? That would be the most inhumane option available! Cervical dislocation works well for me, instant death and it only take one second per animal.

I place mine in old snake bags/pillow case and give them a firm whack on a solid ledge.

For pinkys I give them a firm solid flick on the head.

Drowning would be the worst possible method.

Whack em or gas em. Most humane methods. Cheers Cheryl
