mites gone?

Hey guys,

the other week i noticed one of my spotteds had mites (could only see one on her thou) so i've treated her three times and havent seen anything on her or in her enclosure (which is lined with white paper) in the past 2 weeks. She used to bath in her water bowl non stop when i got her a month ago but now she only goes there to drink... I've never had a snake with mites before so i dont know how long it takes to get rid of them but from what i've said does it sound like they've gone? Also how much longer should i be treating her for them? (sorry bout the lecture sized question)

Thanks...

to be rid of mites it is 6 wk process allowing for hatching of eggs, i have been threw it myself now i bought Top of Descent "aircraft insecticide"bought from a pet wharehouse $40 i found about it on the net by typing in reptile mites on google. immediate inilation. but i am still looking out for the tell tale sighns. increased movement, soaking, lack of appetite and raised scales besides the obvious . i am new to mites myself and this is how i dealt with it. top of descent is not harmful to reps and people. good luck

ok thanks... i dont have top of decent but i have a similar mite treatment (none of the pet stores had TOD) ...ok i'll give her another 2 weeks of treatment since its already been 4 weeks (unless any signs start showing up again)... she doesn't have any of those signs anymore (increased movement, soaking, lack of appetite or raised scales) so i think she could be well on her way to being mite free...
