My female coastal shed her skin overnight however when I got the skin out it was really wet, is this normal? Could it mean that the skin was only very recently shed?
Cheers.

That's why the eye goes cloudy. This is how the layers of skin are seperated. Immediately after shedding the skin has that damp feel about it. It usually dries up reasonably quickly though. |

Nothing to worry about, totally normal. In fact it's good that there was enough moisture to shed correctly as if there isn't then they can have problems sloughing.

I helped him a bit by holding the old skin and he just wriggled his way out of it. It was definitely very moist and slightly sticky. .... Mooshy describes it perfectly! :-) |

I do not mind if that happened with smal snake, but the big ones spoiling my fun. I like to inspect skin after sheding.
LOL I did pass on it last time. | | | |
