Caught my pygmys doing it today.
Not sure if it 'happened' or not - the male jiggled around a bit to 'get on in there' - when they were in the position as per the pic for about 2 min, nothing but slight rocking from the female. Should it be more 'enthusiastic' than that?? It looked like the male fell asleep actually. If thats the case he's no beardie of mine!!

Enthusiastic? Critter that lays on hot rocks all day and gets cuddled and fed for the rest.. probably wouldn't occur to it to be in any hurry *lol* Maybe show them a few hours of National Geographic on Fox? Thats mostly animal porn...

Well, theres still a lot of head bobbing happening from the male, and I thought they might have wanted a feed after the deed (cause they don't smoke LOL), so fed them and they went ballistic. Will have to keep it up though.
Incubator is ready, but set for 27-29 for geckos, not sure if its hot enough for the beardies.

I did most of my clutches last season at 29.5 deg C. Never tried as low as 27 deg C. Maybe someone else has?

Its sitting around 28.5 most of the time. I'd say it will be ok, just might take a bit longer.
I have a hovabator I might setup as well, and fall back on the esky one if I run out of room.

LOL at the second pic. You're onto something there Jason. I think beardies prefer chickies of their own colour Pyro shows WAY more interest in Phoenix (who's also a red) than he does Cleo, who's pale yellow.
