More info please !

Does Anyone know anymore about this ?

Quote from the front page of The Cairns Post (Wednesday June 1, 2005).

"PYTHON'S 'WHOLE' IN ONE

Resort guests watched in horror as a monster snake dropped from a tree just metres from where they were standing and swallowed a fully grown wallaby the size of a small child."

Can quote the rest of the article if people are interested. Can't scan pictures from front page of paper as my scanner and printers are still in storage back in Melbourne. For further info. maybe contact The Cairns Post direct.

Incident occurred at Palm Cove Novotal Resort and Golf Club. The Wallaby was about 2 feet (80 cm) long. The amethystine python (scrub python) was 4m long. Cairns Tropical Zoo keeper Roxanne Pellatt, who collected the snake for release, said it was the biggest prey she had ever seen taken by a python. The python was released in the Barron Gorge National Park (close to where I live) after it had digested it's meal.
