Moving from NSW to QLD?

Hi everyone, we are moving to QLD in a few months so I have had a look at the licencing info & i'm so confused.I understand the import/export rules but can't find species lists or any info on moving from another state(NSW).I'm also concerned about if I will be able to take my hybrid diamond x bredli in to QLD.Can anyone that has already been through this please give me a quick rundown? Thanks for any help in advance

I moved to QLD from NSW about 15 mnths ago. I was very worried about it like you are...... first thing is purchase your QLD Reptile Licence. Once thats all done organise all your QLD and NSW import and export lic. I chose to transport mine up in my car. i had no problems. just sent all the enclosures up on the removalist truck. anyway, hope this helps in some way.

Cheers Luke

You can keep hybrids as much as you want you just cant knowingly breed them.

No idea what you would record them as, perhaps morelia mungralis(i think my latin is a bit off though)

On our side there wouldnt be much red tape, our system is actually very good as far as herps go IMO.

Have you got any pics off the hybrid in question? I would be interested to see what it looks like.

nah you can breed as many as you want by accident the law is fairly wide open to abuse and i dont even know if the words have legal definitions. As i have said before all snakes are hybrids to some degree and all have mutations(you cant knowingly breed mutations here either).

So basically if you interpret these words in a way so that you think what you breed isnt a hybrid, you can do it as you wouldnt be knowingly breeding a hybrid.

In a purely genetic sense I challenge you to breed mutations anywhere
