That means not much sleep for you
Maybe you should ring up and check, as the flight would only be an hour or so.

EXPRESS POST????????? No5t only is that potentially dangerous for the snake but I think it is also illegal!
What mode of transport did you put on your import permits? If they're coming interstate that is

she is sending them with in NSW - for me that is
is it illegal? cause if it is i can get my mum & dad to pick hem up on their way home from the coast, it would be safer aswell, wouldn't it?

It would be much safer Bryony. I am not sure that it is illegal but I believe so. Correct me if I am wrong guys and gals.
Either way, illegal or not, just imagine how jostled that poor snake is going to be the way the mail gets thrown around!

I sincerely hope I am wrong on both counts but don't think I am. I certainly would not buy from someone who mails out their animals just like a piece of paper.

This post by Greebo is, in my opinion, the only one you need to read, and I quote:

Hmmm, this is rather interesting.
Some of you already know that I am a manager for Australia Post.
Yes, it is legal to send harmless insects through the mail (bees, crickets, silkworms). We get a lot of queen bees through our centre.
Any parcel containing live insects has to be marked accordingly. The parcels are then treated differently and not with the regular mail.
Mick, if you send me this guys details, I will pass them on to corporate security. All airmail is now x-rayed, a snake would show up quite easily.Sending it by normal mail would probably be a death sentence for the snake. They would freeze in the back of our trucks or get squashed in the sorting machinery.
I think NPSW would also be interested in hearing about this guy.

I wasn't sure about the legal aspect but was pretty certain about the health outlook for the snake!
