here are some pics of my new macci it will be 12 months old on the 9/12/06
got it at mooloolba in queensland when i was on holidays still a bit snappy
settles down after a few minutes

not sure if you remember carpetsnake but i sent you a pm a week or so ago about where u got your maccy, i didn't end up going there to get one. i found another guy selling them cheaper and a bit closer to me. i'm going to get one tomorrow. yay!!! i'm so excited. this will be my first snake. does anyone know if there is any other way to tell the sex other than probing?

You can tell by the thickness of the tail from the cloacl down. Male is obviously much thicker due to him holding his hemipenes. Probing is the best way to go and more accurate for beginners.
Just depends if you have got someone to probe it for you and to show you how a few times.

Your welcome. Some herp books show a male and female side by side and you can tell the difference but to the untrained eye it can be difficult. I could'nt do it and be 100% certain. I would probably be about 99% certain........................................... .....to be wrong
