with the 1200x600x600 would it be alright to put my probe thermostat in that enclosure

I should think it would be alright to put your probe in any size enclosure.

Sorry I mised this before

Normally I use 4.5 mm and I buy it from a plastics factory - the cost for that cage was $90.

I also have a number of 600x300x300 cages and I use 3mm from Bunnings. I think that worked out at about $8 a cage.

Thanks fuscus. Have some smaller sheets of perspex left over from my boat when i replaced the faded original stuff. May try that in the enclosure I'm currently building for my water python trio.

i'm going to give my sisters boyfriend $300 to bulid six enclosures all of them are going to be 1200x600x600 2 for my spotted pythons 2 for my diamond pythons and the other 2 one will have a black headed python and a murray darling carpet python i'm not saying right away but thats what i want to put in them cages

Fuscus, is that perspects in the enclosure front in your pic? does it hold the heat much better than glass?

Don't really know. I don't think there would be much of a difference, Insallation(?) materials tend to have air pockets which trap the heat movement.
