what i want to know is will i be fined or get in trouble even though it was a genuine mistake as i didn't know that was needed? |

Maybe it would be good to keep your mouth shut, BUT, i would hate to see the person who bought your maccie run into trouble, or even be accused that the snake is wild caught or something if there is no record of it. Unlikely but something to consider. |

I made a big mistake when i was in NSW (quite a few years ago and a long story) had i not informed them i would have copped a hefty fine, but i rang, they requested the story in writing and i copped a very stern warning. You made an honest mistake! so be honest and let them know.

If you bring it to their attention they will be a lot more forgiving. Good lesson in life here too, honesty is the best policy. | |
