Nephrurus wheeleri?

Well yeah, what's the information on these guys? Anybody keep them? Are they common? Care requirements etc etc?

I'd never heard of them 'til today!

Nope not common in captivity.
If they were I'd definitely get some, I love them
*If anyone does breed them - I want some*

Very rare in this country. Only a couple of keepers.

Why so rare?
From what i've heard they haven't been adapting well to captive conditions, and low stocks as well i guess.

Because the authorities won't give anyone a license to collect them. Someone tried a few years back but then word got it and everyone wanted to do it, so they ended up saying no to everybody unfortunately... Or so the story goes... ;P

From what I've heard, an old adult pair sold to a keeper with lots of money and very little sense in Sydney for about $5000.
