new clone gecko pics

took some pics of my prickly gecko last night when she was feeding. i think she is close to shedding as she has got a bit darker in colour. i have a question should anyone want to help me.
i have moved away from spreying her encolosure as when i just pour in some water, i never have any issues with small spot mould/fungi on dead crix or feacal matter. in saying that, i do keep her enclosure very clean. Is there any benifits to spraying over moisning the sand by just tipping in water? note: water is always treated for clorine. thanks.

I think the spray is more like a morning dew effect where they can have a drink and also it will increase the humidity. By pouring water into the enclosure(sorry if thats not what u mean) you may be risking your timber as the water may seep into joins etc and expand the mdf and glue etc. I think the misting is a better idea as well as a water bowl with a bit of volume.

my enclosue is all glass (no wood or warping joins) with a heat light. i have been pouring the water in so it directly under the heat source. at 31 degrees, i can get my humidity up to 80% i do try to splash a little on the wall of the enclosure so she can drink from it, but i know it's not as effective as spraying. i'm not sure see, if she drinks the 'dew' or absorbs it from her environment via her skin? as an estimation i reckon i wet 1/3 of the sand in her 30cm x 30cm enclosure, approx 2 cm deep sand substraight.

I wonder ( im no expert) if there could be a problem with bacteria or the like with large amounts of wet sand perhaps mixed with feaces and urine.I could be completely going down the wrong path but i think it would stay under the surface longer and may "mould" up. Atlaest with a mist it sits on top of substrate and evaporates with the heat resulting in humidity, What do you think?

well, i have heaps of ventalation, and like i said, i've only had the problem when i have misted. the sand takes about 36 hours to dry out, so i do it ever 2 or 3 daze. i was reading a post from another thread... dunno which one, where another aps member mentioned fungal spores being stimulated/transfered throught spraying. i've not had these issues with the drenching method. the particular growth im talking about is white and fluffy. thankyou cracksonthepitch for you replys, i hope it doesn't sound like like i am dissing your helpful input. and of course thanks everyone for your comments.

my girlfriend is quite unimpress by her... and the price tag attached. i... of course wanted another a week after i got my first, but was reminded of the fact that the best part about it is that you only need one. mmm... she won the debate... so far, exept the point that i am being more and more impressed with her the longer i keep her. i'm sure as many of you pricky gex owners know, i love that strange tail dance she does. it's very engaging to watch. she does it when she hunts, but i can't figure out why? anyone?
