Gday

I have never had a hatchling before, I am gettting a NT BHP in the new year.

Initially I will put her in a click clack type of container, how big shoud this be?

Also, whats everyones ideas on the best heat source for a hatchling?

Cheers

The most importnat thing with BHP hatchies, especially for newbie owners, is to ensure that it is feeding extremely well (never refusing) before you purchase it. Providing this is the case (which it should be if you're buying from a reputable breeder), you could put the snake straight into a 2ft or 3ft enclosure, as BHP hatchies are quite large straight from the egg. Provide a basking spot of 32-34 degrees, and a cool spot of 25-26 degrees and you shouldn't have any problems.
