Question new herp

hi guys

does anyone have a herp that they would strongly recommend
not a python cause i already have some
i was thinking along the lines of turtles or lizards
including - legless, dragons, geckoes and other

if anyone has advice on what or what not to get it would be greatly respected

Cheers

Other than pythons i've only owned beardies, and while they're fantastic and placid pets, they're none too active. I've heard monitors are better in that respect.
