I have recently bought my first snake, a seven month old spotted. I find her to be rather agressive when taking her out of her enclosure but she calms down once she has been out for 5 mintues or so. I need advice on how often I should handle her and what I can do in a attempt to make her less agressive.

I say handle her every day if she settles down after a few mins, the more you handle her the better she should get.
She is still young and on edge.
Welcome to the site too

| Leave it alone to settle in. At least a couple of weeks. Quote: |

| Take it out with a snake hook, makes it more relaxed not seing a big giant looking like its going to strangle it. Quote: |

| Every few days if you must, dont stress it out or you will get a frieghtened snake which wont eat for you. Handle for 20 mins and put it back.

I agree with Pugsly, let it settle in first and after acouple of weeks it may be more at ease.
If you are it's first owner it probably has never been handled much before.

Yup pretty much what Pugsly said. Ideally when you first get a snake leave it for two weeks, a week would be the barest minimum.
There are some snakes who are just never going to be good handlers though so if you continue having problems with her, don't push it. If she's settling down after a little handling that's a good sign. But if she starts constantly urinating or pooing the moment you go to take her out of the enclosure then leave her be.

How long do you guys recomend waiting before handling her after she sheds? I have heard everything from handling straight away to waiting at least four day.

Wait atleast 24 hours after they shed before you handle it.
