New Resident :P

A few weeks ago i was walking up my drive way and heard something russle in the grass next to my car port and i immediately knew what it was but i didnt get to see it.
Any way after a few failed attempts to get a glimpse of it i finally saw him and over the last week and a half ive been trying to get a decent photo but it's a quick lil bugger.
But today was my lucky day
i was cleaning out my room and carried a massive load of old school stuff out to the bins in the car port and there he was right out in the open basking in the morning sun so i rushed back inside and grabbed dad's digital SLR and finally got some good pics!!!
Atleast until the cat came to see what i was doing and spooked him.

i think he's getting used to people he just doesnt like the cat for obvious reasons

i know it just a bluey but its been so long since we've had any around the house so yeah im a tad excited, he's a great looking animal and is in great condition, i hope we get another around soon then get a few bubs roaming the garden

haha thanks guys

lol SnakePimp thats pretty funny
this one didnt seem to mind me there i probably could of done the same thing
at least until the cat came up to me lol!

but my cat is only small so i think the bluey would be able to hold its own against him

thats a shame Rocky, but i know how you feel we used to have the odd one around the garden when i was younger, at least before the development on my street started, but im glad they're comming back
he picked the perfect place to stay aswell coz i'll definately be keeping an eye on him and making sure nothing or none bothers him...

was thinking of laying out a bit of food for him
any idea on what i could leave him?

Congrats - you won't have a problem with snails eating your vegies! We get loads of blueys in our area - this house is the first one in 5 years where he haven't had a resident bluey. They are such cool characters!

Rocky, do you have a dog or cat? That tends to scare them away. Otherwise, I reckon they are just hiding really well because there are loads out Hornsby way!

We get heaps of water dragons around here as well. You often see them basking beside pools in people's backyards. They are really inquisitive. A friend ends up with a whole family coming through her door into the kitchen to check things out!
