First Time Owner - Let your Spotted settle for about two weeks - I know it's hard being patient, but leave him alone for that time and you will likely notice a big difference in his willingness to be held...

In adittion to Aslan, when going to pick it up, hold your palm flat and put your whole hand flat down over the head and then pick it up.

Alternatively you can use a small hand towel for the same effect. Then just hold snake by the mid section and allow his head to move freely. Don't place your hand in front of it's head as it is likely to lash out.

Spotteds settle with age!

Here are some pics of our 15 month old Spotted. As you can see he's a dream to handle. And one pic of our new baby Atherton who is becoming better at being handled - but still not perfect. Thankfully he's too small to do any real damage at the moment.

Here's my Bredl girl - just had her 2nd shed. She's a bit hard to photograph because she keeps moving! Great little baby - never refuses a feed and has never tried to tag me.
