From what it sounds like (hasn't eaten for a bit, loose skin, dull pink belly, cludy eyes...) I'd say shed?

You're right Phil, it definitely sounds like it is about to shed. Although i can't say i've ever noticed a pink belly on any of my snakes when they're about to shed? I leave my snakes alone though, even when they're not about to shed, so i guess it's not something i'd really notice.

my coastal has a pink belly though, quite a few coastals aroudn with it. it is very likely that hes jsut over worried and it is sheddign but in saying that it could be a million other things, unfortunatley wihtout pics and not seeign the animals it is ahrd to say, hence my vet reccommendation

cheers
H.

Fair enough, i'm one of the anti-Coastal mob so i wouldn't know.

My Diamonds will get pink throats when eating though, which is also quite common i believe.

My Coastal goes pink on the first 12 inches of his underside sometimes when he thinks there might be food . It's not an unhealthy 'rashy' look though , more like blood coming to the surface.
