No worries Soulweaver we were able to bid on the Eric Worrell book and got it for a very good price, and the subscription to the Reptile mag.

Zoe I am usually quite shy too, but I thought tonight was a great night to break out of my shell and introduce myself. You are as cute as you sound in your posts  Glad you liked the tat, Stevo asked to see it also and was impressed.

We enjoyed the whole meeting, the animal rescue bit, and the talk from the guy from Sth Africa was very interesting. Awesome looking reptiles they have there! and he had an accent too...

Goodnight...

Sounds like you guys had a good meeting. The AHS one in Sydney was a bit of a let-down. Slides from Cape York, all digital, but the computer kept crashing.

I agree Zoe, rather rude dont you think. My son and I were going to head out soon after the auction but I found the his talk very interesting (I find personal Reptile stories very interesting ie The poodle story and the playing with the spitting cobra) so we stayed until the end of his talk

My &%$#@# God! I've never met the guy, but his cocky questions reaked of Hoser! The question (if it was him),or should I say questions, were flying left right & centre from him. Pretty embarrasing for a guy who claims he knows so much! I was waiting (then again, if I've got this right!) to see if his question on anyone keeping black Mambas for pets in S/Africa was leading to....well, I got this product see, called Venomoids that can solve all that those invemonation problems for pet owners..blah, blah, blah I was feeling tense in my chair feeling I knew it may have been him -all I can say is Ray, good move you didn't open your stupid mouth further, you would have had me in your face!!!

On a happier note though (blood pressure going up!) I was wrapt to meet some of the ppl form here. Zoe, I'm glad you dye your hair, you where the easiest to find (plus your photo album helped immensely LOL). Great to meet Rick, Stevo, Soul, Judy, Luke, and not to forget Matt (stocky) who was busy with his stand drumming up a storm. Sorry if I forgot to mention anyone.

The meeting was quite enjoyable -started slow-but the talk on the South African repitles was really interesting. Unfortunately I had to bail out before it ended, Bianca was getting tired. I look forward to the next one.

ps. Ray, keep your mouth shut and you will no doubt never have to meet me!

I think a great night was had by pretty much everyone there, and it was great to fill in the blanks from the names i have seen here but never met in person. Sorry to the people that i was trying to have conversations with that got cut short, but i didnt expect to be so busy.

Hopefully i get to catch up with you all soon in a more relaxed manner, as far as that spaech goes Zoe.... i never have been one for public speaking and i assure you i was shakin on the inside, it did come out in the voice once or twice :-)

Take care guys catch you all soon
