i now need to seal it so that it is water tight. i am looking for a clear sealant that will be safe so that my snake can drink from and bathe in the dish, any suggestions? |

It is right down the end past the wood, mdf etc with a heap of other types of water sealers. (Obviously your bunnings may be different)
You can use Bondall Pondtite http://www.bondall.com/ProductsWaterproofers.htm
or crommelin http://www.crommelin.com.au/displayProduct.php?id=31 | | |
