Normal or Not???

Very strange happening last night. I went to feed "Boof" our male MD python. Didn't realise he was in shed mode. Yeah I know, slap, slap!!! Well, his shed skin was nearly down to his tail, and whammo! He went for the rat, and gulped it down flat out. It's exactly a week since he ate. Little guts!! After he ate, he just proceeded to get rid of the rest of the skin. Cheers Cheryl

Sounds like normal snake behaviour. Smell food, kill it and eat it (regardless of anything else happening ).

I tend not to do anything different around shed time they all still eat fine just a little less accurate.

Yeah but "Emdee" the girl has been off her tucker since end of March. She's had a feed about 4 weeks ago, but still not very interested eh?

i think MDs are just about as indestructable and unphaseable as they get my girl doesnt hesitate in giving me cuddles, eating, exploring or anything no matter the time... shedding or not, she'll eat every time she's a little piggy and loving the 30-40g rats she's getting
