Ok well I've finally uploaded the 2 small movies I took of our sick coastal so you guys can see what I meant when I was talking about the weird stomach movements. Don't bother turning the sound on cos it was taken with our digital camera which has no mic and sorry about the quality too! One of them is only a few seconds long cos there wasn't enough space left on the memory card but it shows the weird breathing. The second one is 90 seconds and if put that on a repeated cycle that's what he was like at one point. Non stop. Which is about when I called the vet about surgery
A couple of pics too...
The short movie

Well he's looking better than he was in that movie but he's probably not as good as I thought he was after the first electrolyte treatment. We gave him a higher dose this time cos he didn't react as well last time so we'll see what happens now |

Poor little bugger!
Has the Vet come up with anything yet? Is she in pain?

Thanks Andrew, we think it might be dehydration so we're giving him electrolytes to see if it helps.
Possum the vet did all sorts of things but ended up saying there's nothing left he can do. He definitely looks uncomfortable but whether he's in pain or nt I don't know. I don't even know to what extent snakes feel pain | | |
