Oily EWD Hatchling

Behind my work we are lucky to have resident water dragons, at least 2 f & 1m, last month or so have seen several hatchlings. Being in the auto industry we are washing a lot of cars ( 25ish).
I guess that is why they are there, lots of gardens as well.

Anyway one little fella/girl has made it's way into the oil seperator, and was covered in oil, wasn't moving & very docile.

Brought him home & put into cardboard box with kitchen paper, ( leaving oily marks on paper).
Also rinsed in warm water more oil came off ( oily slick ). Started to move, actually run!!!
Just put a small hot rock in there & some food (watermelon ).

Just hiding now & I'm gunna leave him alone.

Any other ideas ??

You can use an unscented soap on it. Plenty of fresh water, soap up your hands, quick rub over, rinse well in fresh water, go again, and again, soap, rub, rinse, soap, rub, rinse.

Dove do a liquid soap for sensitive skins. Unscented, uncoloured. Safe for use on reps if rinsed well afterwards.

Get this done as soon as possible.

THANKS Wrasse, he/she getting better, just wasn't sure with such a small one.
Water has stopped that oily stuff.

Going to let it go back to where I found it, away from the car wash and big pit.!!
