Have you thought about taking her to a vet? I know it may seem like a waste of money but it would seem better than hurting the snake.

Leave it be. Unless you can actually see a skin tag from the eye crevice, you can do some serious damage. As long as humidity is high, it should come off with next slough.

RE: old eye scales

if you put her in a small plastic enclosure (ie critter cage or click clack) with a few cm of warm water in, and put the enclosure in a warm spot, ie on a heat cord, and let her soak for a few hours, put a clean flannel in with her so she will have something to rub against. after a few hours take her out and gently rub the scale with the wet flannel. gently shift the skin around the eye scale and see if it will dislodge this way, you could also try keeping her humidity up for a few days if the soak doesn't work hth.

RE: old eye scales

best way i find of getting rid of old skin (not saying it will work in your case) was to get an old pilow case slip, half fill it with damp moss & put the snake (tie end of course!) in for a day.

RE: old eye scales

Should be fine until the next slough - if it won't come away easily, you risk doing a bit of damage. By all means try the methods suggested here, but don't panic if they don't work. Just make sure the next slough is in a humid environment.
